Control Issues

So, now that the little guy is walking and has a couple of words--all of a sudden he wants to be in control.

Won't sit in the stroller--he's got to push it himself, thank you very much.

Of course, he's got to set the pace by shouting "stop" and "go" (both sound identical to the uninitiated ear) making a one-block walk take about 15 minutes.

This is all part of the "control phase" of his development, where he explores just how much influence he can exert on his environment and his parents--Like pointing at the cupboard and screaming until he gets his raisins then refusing to eat them.

It's all pretty fascinating. That and annoying......
